A Study published in April 2007 in The International Breastfeeding Journal suggested that The peppermint water was effective in preventing nipple cracks and  nipple pain in lactating primiparous women.

According to Michael T. Murray and Joseph E. Pizzorno, Authors of the Encyclopedia of Healing Foods, stated that Peppermint has perillyl alcohol, which might stop the formation or spread of cancer.

Researchers at Newcastle University carried out a study on mice, testing the pain relieving properties of  Hyptis crenata-otherwise known as Braziliant mint.They found that a tea made from Brazilian mint was as effective as synthetic aspirin-style drug Indometacin.

Some Studies have shown that A link between increased vitamin C intake from peppermint and a decreased risk for colon cancer, possibly by as much as 40 percent.Other Studies have shown that Vitamin C intake from peppermint can help in decreasing the incidence of colon tumors.

Researchers suggested that Peppermint essential oil might help in preventing recurrences and exacerbation of tuberculosis disease.

Research showed that Peppermint oil capsule was effective in children and adults alike, with one study showing a 50 percent reduction in total irritable bowel syndrome score among 75 percent of patients who tried it.

Modern Research has continued to prove these Ancient cultures already know, which is that peppermint is one of nature's most valuable herbal remedies.
