Fennel or Foeniculum vulgare is a hardy, perennial herb with yellow flowers and feathery leaves.It is a flowering plant species in the carrot family.The inflated leaf bases are eaten as vegetable, both raw and cooked.In North america it is called anise and in italian name is finocchio.Fennel symbolizes longevity, courage, and strength.
