Ginger : Benefits And Effects Of Ginger To Treat Many Diseases






Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is a hot fragrant spice made from rhizome of a plant.It is a flowering plant, in the family Zingiberaceae.Ginger is given the status of "a natural medicine chest" in ancient Ayurdevic medicine because the wonder spice has time tested, digestion-friendly properties and its numerous other health benefits.The root of underground stem (rhizome) of the ginger plant can be consumed, fresh, powdered, dried as spice, in oil form, and as juice.

Ginger contains gingerols, capsaicin, beta-carotene, caffeic acid, curcumin, and salicylate as anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds benefecial to health.Ginger has phenolic compounds to help relieve gastrointestinal irritation.
